The Best Brownies EVER!




3/4 cup butter, melted
1 1/2 cups sugar (we use raw)
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
3 eggs
3/4 cup flour ( we prefer fresh ground whole wheat)
1/2 cup baking cocoa
1/2 tsp.  baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt

Blend melted butter, sugar and vanilla in a mixing bowl. Add eggs. Beat well with spoon.  Combine flour, cocoa, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add to egg mixture until well blended. Spread in greased 8 to 9 in square pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 to 45 minutes or until brownies begin to pull away from edges. Cool. Cut into squares.

Note: For extra chocolate brownies, add chocolate chips before baking.
