We won at the Fair!

My dd 7 got 1st place for her age in Drawing with colored pencils.


My dd 18 got 2nd place for her bear Urso.



I got 3rd place for my hoodie sweater.


Unfortunately non of my guys got anything. :(

My 14 yr. old Son is Selling some Fretwork now...

Quilting Project

This picture doesn't show it at all but I hand quilted around the people, stars, animals, and border. It is hanging over the couch in the living room and this years addition to our christmas decorations.

Felt Roses

I went to my local Yarn store. And they had this cool felted rose.

My Granny is having a birthday so I made her a rose corsage!
And while I was at it a red and purple one for me!
Here are the shapes of the pieces you will need if you want to make a rose.


4 petals, 3 leaves, and one center piece to roll smallest to largest.

Well the latest issue (nov. 2006) of Martha Stewart has an 8 page article on felting!!!

And she has provided online templetes and instructions  for ideas.
I am currently working on the mittens for the youngest dc.

 Will show photos when I am done. There is also a cute hat to make to match. I think that will be next.

There are also more animals to make! A different sheep, which I think I will alter into a goat. A chicken and a little piggy. Here's a link!

I just love the old fashioned  heriloom roses. I have been blessed our house has many antique roses that have been here for many many years. With this weird weather some of them are blooming again!
