It's not fair to ask me how long it took me. I am a very fast crocheter because I have done it for 17 years. I did it while we were watching Jurassic park.
So for a normal person probably a couple days. It really wasn't hard at all. A super easy pattern. The only thing I changed was I made a monk cord instead of the crocheted cord. (There's a link with the marble bag how to make a monk cord.)
I'm sure your girls would be thrilled.
I highly recommend going to www.ravelry.com and getting an acct. (it takes about 1 week) It is an awesome resource for knitting and crocheting sources!
Here is the free pattern. I think she will love it because she's always wanting to take a baby along!
